POSITION SUMMARY
The Fitness/Wellness Attendant is empowered to look after the wellness floor areas which include but not limited to Gym, Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and locker room areas. The ideal individual for this role has safety and hygiene as top priorities, ensuring all guests who visit have a relaxing and comfortable time. Management of rental supplies, towels washing/folding, sanitizing of high touch areas, replenishing of amenities and addressing equipment maintenance issues. This individual will work in a team demonstrating care, empathy and work together to ensure a comfortable environment.
CRITICAL TASKS
- Basic life and safety knowledge to respond emergencies, including CPR and AED.
- Acts as the area’s first responder in case of any sudden emergencies, while contacting Wellness In-Charge, Manager on Duty and Security to arrange support/report.
- Regularly monitors the poolside areas especially when guests are present to ensure their safety while providing amenities to ensure their comfort.
- Be present at Wellness Desk to ensure all guests visiting that area will be acknowledged and cared for.
- Ability to lift 50kg, reach, lift, pull objects and walk on different terrain/surfaces (sometimes wet/slippery).
- Comply with BSA quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Participate in wellness activities such as Westin Run program and other types of exercise
- Inspects equipment for defect and arranges repairs/replacement as needed
- Reports any unsafe activities or environments for immediate improvement
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary materials and information
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Fitness Equipment
Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
