Job description
Inbolt is redefining industrial robotics with AI-powered vision and adaptive automation. As we expand our presence in Japan, we’re looking for a Robotic Application Engineer to be the technical face of Inbolt for our Japanese customers; from the first demo to full production deployment.
You’ll be the bridge between our engineering teams in France and our clients’ factory floors in Japan, ensuring every deployment runs smoothly and every customer becomes a long-term partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site and remote meetings with customers across Japan, acting as their primary technical point of contact and building long-term trust (frequent travel to customer sites required)
- Manage customer demonstrations, pilot projects, and technological evaluations, guiding clients from initial interest through to successful adoption
- Lead on-site deployment of Inbolt’s robotic solutions, and train customer teams to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the systems independently
- Oversee deployed production systems post-installation, ensuring performance, stability, and uptime in real manufacturing environments
- Diagnose and investigate customer feedback on Inbolt products, resolving issues on-site when possible and relaying insights to R&D and product teams to drive product improvement

Requirements
- Living in Japan
- Complete fluency in Japanese
- Basic conversational English
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (valid passport is needed)
- Advanced programming skills in Python
- Strong project management capabilities and hands-on understanding of robotics/computer vision
- Commitment to maintaining high code quality and stability
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Background in new technologies, deep-tech, and manufacturing
- Robot programming experience (FANUC, ABB, UR, etc.)
