Lead and execute Japan Corporate Communications strategies aligned with global and APAC business priorities

Manage both internal and external communications activities, including media relations, corporate storytelling, executive communications, and crisis communications

Act as a strategic communications advisor to senior leadership, including the Japan President and Executive Committee

Drive stakeholder engagement and cross-functional alignment with business units, marketing teams, APAC, and global stakeholders

Support change management, internal communications, and reputation management initiatives

Handle issues and crisis communications in collaboration with regional and global teams
-
Develop digital communication strategies to strengthen stakeholder engagement

Manage external agencies, contractors, budgets, and communication resources effectively

Operate independently as the key Corporate Communications lead in Japan across business and functions at local, regional, and global levels
Must Have

Native-level Japanese and business-level English
-
8–12 years of Corporate Communications experience, including media relations, executive communications, issues and crisis management, corporate reputation management, and internal/change communications

Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to communicate effectively with regional and global teams

Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership

Calm, resilient, and capable of handling sensitive or high-pressure situations

Strong strategic communications capability

In-house Corporate Communications experience

Ability to operate independently in a matrix organization

Experience in multinational companies (MNCs)

Experience in both in-house and PR agency environments

PR agency experience followed by in-house Corporate Communications experience

Experience handling large/global brands or well-known companies

Industrial / FMCG industry experience
