- Vehicle Antenna Solutions (VAS)
- Automotive high-speed networking cables (Networking)
- Wired or wireless integration of personal devices into the vehicle (CDI)
What You Will Do
The Antenna Engineering Lead is able to work both independently and as part of a global team. He or she is responsible for collaborating with local sales, product management, and development teams, participates in defining this strategy, and plays a leading role in implementing it with the team. This includes creating technical product descriptions, regularly exchanging technical information with customers' development departments, gathering technical information, requirements, and requests, and coordinating with Molex's internal development departments. He or she is part of the global Molex team and responds to technical customer inquiries in consultation with Molex's internal specialists. Close communication and early sharing of technical trends with Molex engineers enables proactive work on possible solutions and provides customers with appropriate solution proposals.
- Primary responsibility will be to promote Vehicle Antenna Solutions (VAS) to Japanese OEMs and other potential customers.
- Work with the business development and account management team to implement the CMS VAS strategy for the Japanese automotive market, based on current and future product roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Molex's global product management and development teams in Europe, Asia and North America to ensure that the perspective of Japanese OEMs is understood.
- Position Molex as a trusted partner with the Japanese OEMs on advanced product development opportunities
- Maintain and expand relationships with Engineering organizations of our customers and key suppliers.
- Communicate regularly with Molex's global development team to ensure the flow of technical information between customers and our own development department.
- Be the first point of contact for customers with technical questions.
- Understand and share the market perspective and customer voice with the global Molex team.
- You will represent CMS VAS products to customers from a technical perspective, record requirements and requests, and be committed to identifying new sales opportunities for CMS VAS and realizing them with your colleagues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preference given with Electrical Engineering or Master`s degree.
- Deep RF experience also preferred. 5 years+ Experience in Japanese Automotive OEM Account Management or Product Development
- Experience or knowledge in the field of wireless communication is an advantage.
- Good communication skills internally within Molex Group and externally towards customers and suppliers.
- Strong written and verbal English and Japanese communication skills
- Computer skills: AI, Power point, Excel, Word.
- Ability to travel both domestic and international (US/China/Europe). Up to 15% travel possible.
Japanese: Native or Fluent, reading, writing and speaking
English: Business level (willing to improve in a very global working environment)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Familiarity with electrical / mechanical data sheets, equipment drawings, engineering and project specifications
- Business success experience in technology and marketing in the field of technical Solutions.
- Technical knowledge of Vehicle Antenna Solutions and vehicle architecture.
- Business experience with overseas product development division.
