We are looking for
We are looking for a Solution Architect at WirelessCar Japan, who defines and communicates the technical and architectural vision for mobility platforms that are shaping the future of connected services. You will work closely with both Japanese automotive OEMs and global engineering teams in Sweden, China, India and the US to ensure that solutions are technically sound, scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
You are a key part of one or more several customer deliveries and are deeply involved in the discovery and evolution of customer needs. Whether acting as a supporting architect or Solution Architect in a program, you play a pivotal role in translating complex requirements into concrete, compliant, and cost-efficient solutions that operate at global scale.

What You'll Do
Solution Architecture
- Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision across deliveriesand stakeholders, influencing platforms that serve millions of vehicles worldwide.
- Describe the solution context, identify components, subsystems, interfaces, and map external integrations.
- Define and validate non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, security, and cost at production scale.
- Ensure the solution satisfies business and technical requirements, and contributes to operational excellence.
Collaboration Across Borders
- Act as the technical bridge between Japanese OEMs and WirelessCar's global solution teams in Sweden, China, and the US.
- Translate local business scenarios and regulatory needs into scalable architecture that integrates globally.
- Align technical direction across globally distributed development teams and ensure reuse of standard services.
Technical Leadership & Solution Shaping
- Support RFx and pre-sales activities by providing technical leadership, solution shaping, architectural guidance, and effort estimations.
- Translate business needs, customer requirements, and technical constraints into coherent and sustainable solution architecture.
- Advise customers and internal stakeholders on technical options, integration approaches, and trade-offs.
- Act as the technical liaison across customers and internal stakeholders for cross-solution architecture, integrations, and technical alignment.
Agile delivery & Program Leadership
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure architectural coherence across teams, integrations, platforms, and deliveries.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts, explore new technologies, and evolve WirelessCar's reference architectures.
Your Background
- Experience: 7+ years in software/system architecture, preferably in the automotive, IoT, or mobility sectors.
Technical Expertise: Cloud-native systems (AWS preferred), microservices, API integration, and DevSecOps practices. Experience with large-scale distributed systems is highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder alignment capabilities, with the ability to bridge cultural and technical contexts.
- Languages: Business-level Japanese and English.
