Product Design Engineer / 製品設計エンジニア
Our Team
The division is responsible for the design and development of new micro connectors mainly for the Mobile market including Smartphones, Tablets and AR/VR. Mobile engineering team has approximately 40 people working in the same organization and our team consists of 3 members. Our team's responsibility is to plan, design and develop new connectors based on needs from oversea market/customers. Each project has some opportunities to discuss directly with oversea customers over online meetings or/and in-person meetings. In addition, the mass production process should also be discussed with related teams in parallel to provide future smooth transfer towards mass production phase. The organization also has Korea team and China team, and there are some opportunities to collaborate with them so the environment could provide growth and accomplishment in diverse environments.
What You Will Do
1. Design and develop new products based on the market needs
2. Detailed design work by using CAD/FEA etc.
3. Make prototype samples, test and improve the design as necessary for the optimization
4. Cross-functional collaboration with tooling team, QA team and the other related teams to establish mass production process
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Degrees in Science and Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in product development work for an electrical/electronic component manufacturer
- Experience in 3D CAD design (regardless of specific software name)
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business Level or Beginner Business Level
What Will Put You Ahead
- Comfortable with English (Even if you are not fluent in English but willing to learn)
- Interests and knowledge in electric components and mobile market
- Interests in manufacturing
