We are currently seeking a dedicated, highly motivated, and passionate A-Level & IGCSE Biology Teacher to join our secondary division.
[Position Objective] The Biology Teacher is tasked with delivering high-quality education in alignment with the Cambridge International Curriculum and the Cambridge Learner Attributes. The ideal candidate will develop students to become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged learners while establishing a safe, productive, and learner-centered environment.
To successfully meet the requirements of the curriculum, the teacher must effectively balance theoretical classroom instruction with practical laboratory work and inquiry-based approaches.
[Key Responsibilities]
1. Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and deliver well-structured, student-centered biology lessons that align with the Cambridge (CAIE) IGCSE and A-Level curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, incorporating inquiry-based, project-based, or experiential learning to support diverse learning styles.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs and abilities of all learners.
- Effectively manage and facilitate practical laboratory work, ensuring a safe and productive lab environment.
- Maintain and update academic resources, including understanding higher education/admission trends and testing requirements (e.g., SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, UCAS, Common App) where applicable to support student pathways.
2. Assessment and Reporting
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments in line with school and Cambridge guidelines.
- Provide timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to support student growth.
- Prepare accurate report cards and actively participate in parent-teacher conferences.
3. Classroom Management & Safeguarding
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior and learning.
- Consistently implement the school’s behavior and child safeguarding policies to ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
- Maintain regular and professional communication with parents to build strong school-home partnerships.
4. Professional Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with teaching teams to plan units, share best practices, and ensure curriculum continuity.
- Actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and training workshops.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities that enrich overall student development.

[Qualifications and Experience]
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject field (Biology / Biological Sciences).
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., or equivalent state/national teaching license).
- Minimum of 2–3 years of full-time teaching experience.
- Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written).
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience teaching in an international school or a Cambridge certified setting.
- Deep familiarity with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum framework.
- High competence in integrating educational technology and digital learning tools into lessons.
- Experience with student-centered, inquiry-based pedagogy.
