UIA International School of Tokyo (UIA) is one of the few Cambridge-certified international schools IN TOKYO with students from Early Years to Grade 12. Cambridge curriculum and assessments are designed to encourage students to develop and become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged learners.

[Position Objective]
The English language teacher is tasked with delivering the Cambridge curriculum (including IGCSE/AS Level/A Level) to students in the secondary division. The teacher is expected to plan and execute lessons in alignment with the Cambridge International Curriculum and the Cambridge Learner Attributes — developing students who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged learners. The teacher is also tasked with establishing a safe, productive, and learner-centred learning environment.
[Key Responsibilities]
General Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured, student-centered lessons that meet Cambridge curriculum.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Incorporate inquiry-based, project-based, or experiential learning where appropriate.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and engagement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners.
Assessment and Reporting
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments in line with school guidelines.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Prepare accurate report cards and attend parent-teacher conferences.
Classroom Management & Safeguarding
- Establish clear expectations for behavior and learning.
- Implement the school’s behavior and safeguarding policies consistently.
Support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students. * Foster an inclusive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents to build strong school–home partnerships.Professional Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with teaching teams to plan units, improve practice, and ensure curriculum continuity.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and training workshops.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities that enrich student development.

求める人材:
[Qualifications and Experience]
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education from an established and accredited university
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., or equivalent)
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written).
Preferred:
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Competence in educational technology and digital learning tools. Experience with student-centered, inquiry-based pedagogy.
