Qnity Semiconductor Technologies business has an exciting and challenging open position as a Technical Service and Development (TS) Engineer for Kalrez® specialty parts. From chip manufacturing, chemical processing to oil and gas/renewable energy applications, Qnity™ Kalrez® is the world leading specialty sealing parts engineered with cutting-edge Qnity proprietary perfluoroelastomer technologies to provide the most reliable and effective sealing solutions for those extremely challenging and mission-critical applications in the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical service and development support for customers to drive business growth, including technical training, troubleshooting, problem solving and new product/application development and associated testing to enable qualification.
Perform testing evaluation in laboratory environment and generate technical data according to the customer/market needs.
Identify and pursue development opportunities through actively collecting technical information to identify the unmet needs of specific applications for solution offerings to customers. Fully own the development project from conception to implementation and commercialization by working closely with the sales team.
In global technology network, drive or support the launch of new material/application technology, aligned with global projects.
Conduct technical presentations/seminars at customer/partner meetings to promote Kalrez® application as needed.
Learn and acquire deep knowledge and trend of the advanced technology in the industries.
Participate various institute and industry association conference to connect with technical resource.
Qualifications:Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry, Material Science, Applied Physics or related science background is required. Advanced degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5-year work experience as a technical engineer is required.
- Ability to understand and define customer needs, to plan and conduct performance evaluation, and to drive new product/application development to meet customer needs.
- Exhibit broad technical interests for diversified market and applications including semiconductor and industrials.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing. English communication skill is required.
- Ability to travel in Japan (20%)
- Compliant with safety guidelines, business ethics and internal control processes
