Safe Space is a fast-growing B2B2C regional mental healthtech start-up based in Singapore, supporting clients across the Asia-Pacific region. We believe in "People, Passion and Purpose," investing in individuals who embrace creativity and take ownership of their work.
We are seeking skilled Japanese-speaking Counselors and Psychologists to provide professional mental health support to our corporate and individual clients. You will offer online sessions to clients in Japan, helping them build coping mechanisms to navigate stress and emotional challenges. You must be fluent in Japanese and English, culturally attuned to Japanese clients, and able to connect authentically with their experiences.
主な仕事内容 / Main Responsibilities
- Conduct online assessments through detailed conversations and observations to determine appropriate support.
- Diagnose and evaluate clients' mental and emotional conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans including counselling and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with clients to set and review individual goals regularly.
- Educate clients on effective coping mechanisms for managing challenging situations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress.
- Conduct group counselling sessions when required.
- Collaborate with the Safe Space counselling team and other stakeholders on clinical and project matters.
- Assist with general administrative duties related to client management.
求める人材 (Candidate Requirements)
《必須条件 / Required》
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a professional counsellor or psychologist.
- Fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, writing); working proficiency in English is an advantage.
- Deep understanding of Japanese cultural context and sensitivity in clinical settings.
- Registered with a recognized Japanese counselling or psychology body (e.g., 公認心理師, 臨床心理士, or equivalent).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to empathize with clients and create a safe, culturally appropriate environment.
歓迎資格・経験 / Preferred
- Experience with corporate wellness or EAP (Employee Assistance Program) clients.
- Experience in teletherapy or online counselling platforms.
- Completion of suicide intervention skills training (e.g., QPR, ASIST).
- Professional indemnity insurance (preferred but not mandatory).
- Bilingual ability in Japanese and English.
