Overview:
GnoKids is a children’s English school with seven locations and growing in Tokyo! We are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic, experienced teachers who love spending time and having fun with kids. We see ourselves as being at the cross-roads between regular Eikaiwa English schools and international schools, in that we have a strong focus on natural communication between our teachers and students, have extensive lesson and homework materials, and teach longer (90 minute) classes.
Our Method:
GnoKids uses an entirely original, detailed curriculum. We have original textbooks and videos for homework. Our classes are based around Project Based Learning, meaning lessons are structured around a project theme to give context to the language we’re teaching. We strongly believe in ‘learning through doing’ and our classes are very hands on.
At GnoKids, our ideal is true team-teaching. Classes have two teachers who should be equally involved in teaching a successful lesson. Having two teachers provides chances to model natural English exchanges to the students, create a fun atmosphere, and give the students more individual attention. We have small class sizes, with a maximum of 10 students per class and maintain a 1:5 teacher to student ratio to maximize students’ opportunity for production and teacher interaction.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Applicants must be native-level English speakers.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or above.
Applicants must have a valid visa and work permit (we can provide visa sponsorship for renewal or change of status).
Experience teaching children as an English teacher, pre-school teacher, eikaiwai teacher is preferred but not required. Any experience working with children could be relevant.
勤務時間・曜日:
8 hour shifts (including paid lunch break) between 10:30-18:30 and 12:15-20:15 on weekdays, 9:30-17:30 on Saturdays. Sunday and Monday off.

80,000 at signing, contingent on 1 year contract completion
80,000 upon renewal of contract for 2nd year
