We invite applications for the position of Professor in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Hokkaido
University as follows.

Systems and Environments Laboratory, Faculty of Information Science and Technology
(Scope of change) Location as determined by the University.
4. Research Fields and Duties
(Immediately after hiring) Research and development of cyber-physical systems and physical AI, such as (1) IoT and
AI for smart production systems, (2) robotics and XR for smart social systems, and (3) social implementation of cyber-
physical systems and physical AI.
(Scope of change) Duties as determined by the University.
5. Teaching Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be requested to teach subjects such as:
Advanced Exercise in System Science and Informatics I and II, Advanced Study in System Science and Informatics,
and others at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology;
Mathematics for Computer Science, Digital Control, System Management, Fundamental Mechatronics, Exercise in
System, Control and Electrical Engineering I and II, and others at the School of Engineering;
and some subjects in the liberal arts course.
6. Qualifications for application
(1) PhD at the time of appointment,
(2) Ability to give lectures listed above in Japanese and in English,
(3) Outstanding achievements and publications in the research fields listed above, and
(4) Strong motivation for education, research and other duties related to the management of the Faculty of Information
Science and Technology.

April 1st, 2027, or later

of citations to each journal paper, as much as possible.
