Join "WOW," an innovative cultural storyteller platform by Yummy Guide, Inc. We are looking for passionate "Wowies" (Cultural Curators) who bridge the gap between Japan’s hidden creative values and premium world travelers.
【Job Responsibilities】
- Lead small groups of international visitors through 2–3 carefully selected bars and izakayas in your local area.
- Deliver engaging storytelling about local food culture, drinking traditions, and the hidden gems of Japan's nightlife — all in fluent English.
- Help guests navigate izakaya etiquette, menu selections, and interactions with local staff and patrons.
- Ensure a seamless, premium, and fun experience from start to finish.
【Requirements】
Required:
- Strong English communication skills (ability to share stories, explain food and drink culture, and connect guests with locals)
- Genuine love for Japanese food culture, izakayas, and local nightlife
- Outgoing, hospitality-oriented personality with a knack for making people feel welcome
Preferred:
- Knowledge of local bars, izakayas, and food spots in your area
- Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or tour guiding
- Sake Diploma, Sommelier certification, or equivalent is a plus
- Bilingual individuals, returnees, university students, working professionals, and freelancers are all welcome
