Job Overview
Penguin Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Enterprise Sales Executive to drive AI/HPC and MemoryAI business growth in Japan. This role will focus on developing new business within Financial Services (FSI) and/or Manufacturing/Automotive verticals, where Penguin has existing customer footprint and where AI inference demand is accelerating. You will leverage deep industry domain knowledge and SI partner relationships to position Penguin as a trusted partner in enterprise AI infrastructure, delivering value-based solutions including MemoryAI, AI/HPC software (ICE ClusterWare), and integrated services.
Responsibilities
- Drive net-new business by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities within the Japan region.
- Leverage industry expertise and market intelligence to align Penguin’s solutions with evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong executive-level relationships with CIO/CTO, IT infrastructure leaders, and AI initiative owners within target verticals (Financial Services, Manufacturing/Automotive).
- Lead consultative sales engagements to demonstrate the value of Penguin’s enterprise AI offerings and ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and delivery teams to design tailored solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Represent Penguin at industry events, conferences, and forums to build visibility, credibility, and pipeline opportunities.
- Ensure seamless post-sales engagement, fostering long-term partnerships and expanding account growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with SI partners and technology ecosystem partners in Japan. Develop joint go-to-market approaches that leverage partner reach and customer trust to accelerate AI/HPC pipeline creation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or account leadership, with a strong track record in Financial Services and/or Manufacturing/Automotive verticals in Japan
- Demonstrated success in selling complex, enterprise-level infrastructure solutions (AI/HPC, data platforms, server/storage, or advanced computing preferred). Consultative, value-based selling approach — not transactional or box-moving.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex solutions into clear business value.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence, lead, and collaborate within a matrixed organization and across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and productivity tools (MS Office Suite).
- Highly organized, with strong time management and strategic planning capabilities.
- Established relationships with major SI partners in Japan (e.g., NEC, CTC, NTT Data, Hitachi). SI partnerships are a critical success factor for enterprise technology sales in Japan.
- Business-level English and native Japanese.
- Deep understanding of enterprise IT procurement processes and decision-making structures within Japanese organizations.

Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in Japan is to be determined based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible (pay mix 60/40). Benefits include health insurance (shakai hoken), corporate pension plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with Japanese labor law and company policy.
