An international school in Osaka is seeking a Part-Time English Instructor to teach both adult learners and children.
The role includes one-on-one and small-group English conversation lessons for adults, as well as English lessons and activities for children through after-school and Saturday programs.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, professional, and comfortable working with learners of different ages and English levels.
Responsibilities
- Teach one-on-one and small-group English conversation lessons to adult learners
- Teach engaging English lessons and activities to children
- Support after-school and Saturday programs
- Prepare simple and appropriate lesson materials
- Adapt lessons according to students’ ages, interests, levels, and learning needs
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- High level of English proficiency
- Valid visa/status of residence permitting work in Japan
- Currently residing in the Kansai area
- Comfortable teaching both adult learners and children
- Able to prepare and adapt lesson materials based on students’ needs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and punctual
Preferred:
- Previous English teaching experience
- Experience teaching one-on-one or small-group lessons
- Experience working with children
- Experience teaching adult conversation classes
- Availability during weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays
