Native English Preschool Teacher
Cruise International Higashi-Kawaguchi is an international preschool and after-school English program located in Saitama, just outside Tokyo. We provide a fun, immersive English environment where children develop confidence, communication skills, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through play and meaningful experiences. Our educational philosophy emphasizes teamwork, curiosity, and helping every child reach their full potential.
We are looking for an energetic, caring, and passionate Native English Teacher to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities
As a Native English Teacher, you will play an important role in creating a safe, engaging, and inspiring English-speaking environment for children aged 2 to 6 years old.
Your responsibilities include:
Lead preschool classes entirely in English.
Create a positive, energetic, and child-centered classroom atmosphere.
Teach English naturally through songs, games, storytelling, arts and crafts, science activities, outdoor play, and hands-on experiences.
Encourage children to communicate confidently in English during daily routines and classroom activities.
Plan and prepare age-appropriate lessons following the school's curriculum.
Support children's emotional, social, and language development through positive interactions.
Work closely with Japanese teachers as a team to provide the best educational experience for every child.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Participate in seasonal events, performances, sports festivals, field trips, and special school programs.
Prepare simple teaching materials and classroom decorations when needed.
Communicate with staff regarding children's progress and daily activities.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
What Makes This Position Special
At Cruise International, teaching goes far beyond traditional English lessons.
Children learn English through daily life, exciting projects, creative play, science experiments, music, cooking, outdoor exploration, and seasonal events. Our goal is not simply to teach vocabulary, but to help children naturally acquire English while developing curiosity, confidence, independence, and kindness.
Our native teachers are encouraged to bring their own personality, creativity, and ideas into the classroom. Whether you enjoy music, sports, science, art, drama, or storytelling, your unique talents are welcomed and appreciated.
You will work alongside experienced Japanese bilingual teachers in a supportive team environment where everyone collaborates and helps one another. We believe that happy teachers create happy classrooms.
