This is a rare opportunity for a broad legal role with an iconic brand. Working with local and global colleagues, you will have responsibility for all legal issues for the brand's business in Japan. On offer are excellent working conditions and career prospects and the chance to take a leadership role within legal.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts relating to the retail business
- Advise on issues including any dispute resolution, data privacy, technology use and various corporate affairs
- The main point of contact for ethics and compliance matters in Japan
- Overseeing intellectual property matters and working with colleagues on brand protection and anti-counterfeit
The best-matching candidates will have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Law
- Experience in-house legal position or at a respected law firm, with knowledge of the FMCG industry extremely desirable
- All-round ability to manage issues in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
