The Opportunity
Within the Customer Strategy & Success (CSS) team at Adobe, our focus is on accelerating value for our customers through adoption and value realization. Alongside our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) who are the named post-sale owners for our Enterprise accounts, our Strategic Development Managers (SDMs) are the product and workflow specialists who bring deep, hands-on expertise to the customer's creative practice.
As a Strategic Development Manager in the Creative Pro space, you are the go-to expert for how Adobe's creative solutions - Creative Cloud, Firefly, and Firefly Enterprise Solutions, fit into the way your customers actually work. The CSM runs point across the account and you own the creative-workflow conversation. You'll partner with customers to discover their creative and production challenges, co-create new use cases, and lead the discussion on how their workflows should evolve in a GenAI-first world.
What you'll do
– Own creative solution engagements. Take ownership of single- and multi-solution creative engagements, and build tailored engagement plans for your more complex customers along with CSMs.
– Lead workflow discovery. Proactively lead discussions with customers about their creative and production workflows uncovering pain points, drawing out what they mean, and surfacing needs they haven't yet articulated to get at the real problem.
– Bring deep creative & GenAI solution expertise. Confidently explain and demonstrate the key features of Adobe's creative portfolio - combining them with third-party GenAI models where relevant, and show how they drive adoption.
– Be the trusted advisor on creative workflow. Share best practices and build trust as the person who understands both the realities of creative production and the customer's creative vision.
– Co-create use cases and value. Bring Adobe's point of view to co-discover and develop high-impact creative use cases with the customer.
– Collaborate with the wider Adobe team. Partner with CSMs, Account Executives, Solution Consultants, Technical Success, and Digital Engagement team, to bring the best of Adobe to the customer.
– Share and scale your wins. Turn engagements into customer success stories and best practices, and present them on internal team calls and knowledge shares so learnings travel beyond a single account.
– Broaden reach at scale. Co-host scaled events with the Digital Engagement team to raise awareness of Adobe's creative and GenAI solutions across a broad base of customers.
What you need to succeed
– Foundational understanding of a creative solution set and an interest in the Digital Media competitive landscape and Adobe's differentiation.
– Strong interest in improving the creative process through generative AI tools (Firefly, Firefly Enterprise Solutions).
– A genuine love of creativity and design - you're drawn to this work because you love it, not only because it's the job, and you explore new creative tools.
– The ability - or the potential, to lead workflow discussions with customers.
– Ideally, a specialty area within the creative domain (for example video, motion, or design) that gives you depth to draw on in customer conversations.
– Curiosity to read between the lines to pick up what a customer is really trying to say, expand on what they haven't noticed, and search out the essence of the problem
– A positive, and communicative personality - you build rapport easily and enjoy collaborating with customers and colleagues alike.
– A growth-minded, coachable attitude - open to learning from others and evolving with a fast-moving business and technology landscape.
– Strong communication skills in Japanese (business level required) and good communication skills in English.
– Bachelor's or Master's degree
