【業務内容】
（雇入れ直後 ）
Head of Internal Communications, Globalは、高いパフォーマンスを発揮するデータ駆動型のグローバル社内コミュニケーションセンター・オブ・エクセレンス（CoE）を設立・リードします。本職は、グローバルなタウンホール、従業員・経営層・製造部門向けのコミュニケーション、ラウンドテーブル、Olympus Exchange イベント等、業界最高水準の社内コミュニケーション施策の企画と実行をグローバルで担い、グローバルおよびリージョナルのコミュニケーション・ビジネスパートナーと緊密に連携して、メッセージの一貫性と高品質なアウトプットを確保します。
また、本職は品質およびプロセスの卓越性、最高水準の編集基準、継続的なスキル向上を推進し、業務の効率化を図るためにAIや新しい働き方の導入を推進します。その他の責務として、GIHやMicrosoft 365等の社内コミュニケーション基盤の最適化や、M&A後のシステム・プロセス統合の推進も含まれます。本ポジションは、戦略的方向性の深い理解を確保し、グローバル従業員のエンゲージメントと定着を高める役割を担います。
本職は、オリンパスのブランド評判と従業員エンゲージメントをグローバルに強化するうえで重要な役割を果たします。
具体的には下記です。
・6名の直報告者を含む約23名のグローバルチームを率いる（サブチームリード2名［GIS担当、SIS／Corporate & Change担当］、内部チャネル専門家3名、リードエディター、従業員・経営層・製造向けコミュニケーター等を含む）。多様なバックグラウンドを持つ、文化横断的で主にリモートの組織をマネジメントし、約100万米ドルの予算を管理する。
・グローバルのビジネスパートナーおよびサブチームリードと緊密に連携し、グローバルタウンホール、従業員・リーダーシップ・製造向けコミュニケーション、ラウンドテーブル、Olympus Exchange等の社内コミュニケーション施策のグローバルな計画と実行を主導する。サブチームリードや内部チャネルの専門家とともに、目標達成に最も有効なコミュニケーションチャネルを検討・決定する。
・地域のコミュニケーションリードおよびGlobal Design Studioと緊密に連携し、クリエイティブ資産に関する需要管理を効率的に行う。
・GIHやMicrosoft 365等のグローバル社内コミュニケーション基盤、エンドツーエンドのプロセスおよび働き方を所有・維持・改善し、M&A後のインフラやプロセスの機能統合を推進する。
・最新技術（AI等）を活用してプロセスを簡素化し、高品質な実行を担保する、プロセス／データ駆動型の高パフォーマンスな社内コミュニケーションCoEを構築・運用する。
・最高水準の編集基準とコミュニケーションチャネル管理を実践し、継続的なスキル向上を促進するとともに最新トレンドを評価する。
・成果をモニタリングし、コミュニケーションの有効性を継続的に評価して変化するビジネスニーズに対応する。評価結果に基づき手法を柔軟に改善する。

【Role Overview】
The Head of Internal Communications, Global, will establish and lead a high-performing, data-driven Global Internal Communications Center of Excellence. The role will be responsible for the global planning and execution of best-in-class internal communications activities (i.e., global town halls, employee, leadership, and manufacturing communications, round tables, Olympus Exchange events) and partner closely with the Global and Regional Communications Business Partners, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality outputs.
The role ensures quality and process excellence, best-in-class editorial standards, continuous upskilling, and the adoption of AI or new ways of working to streamline operations. Other responsibilities include optimizing the internal communication infrastructure (i.e., GIH, Microsoft 365) and integrating systems and processes following M&A. The role ensures a high understanding of strategic direction, engagement and retention of global employees.
The role plays a key part in strengthening Olympus’ brand reputation and employee engagement globally.
【Primary Duties & Responsibilities】
・Lead a global team with six direct reports and a total of approximately 23 headcounts, consisting of two sub-team leads (one for GIS, one for SIS, Corporate & Change), three internal channel experts, a Lead Editor as well as employee, executive or manufacturing communicators, with diverse backgrounds, in a cross-cultural and mostly remote organization. Oversee a budget of roughly $1M USD.
・Lead the global planning and execution of internal communication activities (i.e. global town halls, employee, leadership and manufacturing communications, round tables, Olympus Exchange events), defined by and in close collaboration with the global business partners and sub-team leads. Consult and determine the most effective communication channels for goal achievement, together with the sub-team leads and internal channel experts.
・Ensure efficient demand management by aligning closely with the Regional Communication Leads and the Global Design Studio for creative assets.
・Own, maintain, and elevate the global internal communication infrastructure (i.e. GIH, M365), E2E processes and ways of working. Drive functional integration after an M&A (infrastructure, processes).
・Implement a high-performing, process- and data-driven, internal center of excellence that makes use of the latest technologies (AI) to simplify processes and ensure high-quality execution.
・Apply best-in-class editorial work and communication channel management. Ensure continuous upskilling and evaluate the latest trends.
・Monitor success and continuously assess communication effectiveness to meet evolving business needs. Adapt methods according to findings.
・Guide stakeholder decision-making by transparent, meaningful, and engaging communication. Specifically, strengthen employee understanding and engagement.

学歴:
・コミュニケーション、パブリックリレーションズ、ジャーナリズム、ビジネス、経済学、または関連分野の大学学位（学士）。修士号等の上位学位があると望ましい。
・ビジネス英語必須（会話・読み・書き）、日本語（ビジネスレベル）尚可。
経験：
・コミュニケーション分野で最低10年の経験、望ましくはメドテック領域および国際的な環境での経験。
・リーダーシップ経験が最低5年（実績のあるマネジメント経験）、望ましくは異文化を跨ぐ環境かつコミュニケーション領域での経験。
・チームプレーヤーであり、優れたコミュニケーションおよび対人スキルを有し、異文化チームや多様なステークホルダーと効果的に協働できること。
・編集（エディトリアル）業務および社内チャネル管理に関する豊富な経験。

【Qualifications】
Education:
・University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master's) preferred.
・Bilingual skills are advantageous
Experience:
・A minimum of 10 years’ experience in communications, ideally in medtech and an international environment
・A minimum of 5 years of track-proven leadership experience, ideally cross-culturally and in the area of communications
・Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-cultural teams and various stakeholders
・Profound editorial and internal channel management experience
・Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
