Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems, one of Business Units of BorgWarner Inc., is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Sales Manager or Sr. Sales Account Manager in Japan. Under direct supervision of SE Asia Sales Director located in South Korea, the role will be primarily responsible for Sustainable and Profitable Business Growth in Japan. Key responsibilities
Build Strategic Customer Relationships and Business Pipeline

Develop and strengthen executive & working-level relationships with key Japan OEMs

Establish BorgWarner as a recognized and preferred technology partner through regular customer engagements and technical discussions working together with BorgWarner engineering teams

Create and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline by identifying future vehicle programs and sourcing activities.
Develop Market Presence and Brand Recognition

Increase BorgWarner's visibility and credibility within the Japan automotive industry.

Represent BorgWarner at customer events, industry conferences, exhibitions, and technical forums.

Create and Execute New Business Acquisition Strategy

Develop and implement a structured strategy to secure major electrification business awards with Japan OEMs.

Identify high-potential conquest opportunities and prioritize target vehicle programs.

Establish actionable milestones and customer engagement plans

Track and manage opportunity conversion from initial customer contact through RFQ and sourcing decision milestones.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

Establish and maintain a robust Japan OEM and market intelligence framework to support strategic business growth.

Deliver quarterly market and customer reports covering OEM strategies, vehicle programs, sourcing activities, competitive positioning, and industry trends.

Identify and assess future business opportunities, including electrification programs, technology roadmaps, and upcoming RFQ activities.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive customer engagement, business development priorities, and pursuit strategies.
