The Team
A&M Japan is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Senior Associate / Manager (no subordinates) to partner with our Japan leadership on key business hiring and recruitment needs. This person would report to the APAC Talent Acquisition Partner-Director based in the Tokyo Office.
How you will contribute

Develop relationships with practice leadership, talent acquisition leadership, Japan People Lead; ability to fully understand the Japanese business and communicate that to the external market

Conduct intake calls, set sourcing strategies, and manage full-cycle recruitment for experienced hiring in Japan.

Source, interview and present candidates across business units, including developing and maintaining pipelines for ongoing hiring needs

Provide operational support when needed, including scheduling interviews, supporting recruiting events, and gathering structured feedback from interview teams

Communicate with Operations Leaders, interview teams, candidates, and stakeholders to ensure clarity on feedback, timelines, and next steps across all hiring pipelines

Assist with market research, job descriptions, and talent insights, including hiring trends and benchmarking, to inform hiring strategies

Create innovative sourcing strategies leveraging LinkedIn Recruiter, Jobvite (ATS), resume databases

Build and maintain strong pipelines of high-quality candidates; proactively nurture relationships and promote Alvarez & Marsal’s employer value proposition

Liaise with external recruitment vendors as needed

Prepare offer letters and partner with the Japan TA lead, People lead to ensure offers align with salary bands and internal equity

Maintain requisitions and candidate records with meticulous attention to detail; and experienced hire metrics and provide reporting as needed
Qualifications
-
5-10 years of full life cycle recruiting. Experience with a management consulting firm, executive search, or large fast-paced corporate environment preferred

Experience with early career and mid-career recruitment, including planning and executing candidate engagement initiatives

Language: Native/Fluent Japanese and business English mandatory

Strong research and candidate generation skills, with the ability to generate a high-volume and high-quality candidate pipeline under very tight timelines.

Works well under pressure, without compromising quality of service or work

Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.

Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines

Strong business acumen and polished communication skills
