Job Summary
Request and description of the expected service
UD Trucks develops and produces trucks for the Japanese market as well as for various export markets.
To support this, Aftermarket Ageo Diagnostic Engineering works on multiple projects for heavy-duty trucks.
The request is to have a Diagnostic Engineer who will work as the requirements gathering / Verification and validation for start-cost and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
Main deliverables to be achieved
Provided Aftermarket diagnostic feedback to the design team to ensure serviceability, diagnostic coverage, and Aftermarket requirements were met for design release.
Developed and validated diagnostic deliverables such as DTCs, guided diagnostics, parameters, routines, and tool functions to meet project targets.
Prepared and updated Aftermarket service documentation, including diagnostic procedures, tool usage instructions, and troubleshooting content to secure service quality.
Reported project status, risks, and critical issues to managers and stakeholders as needed.
Skill Requirements
Nature of the service
Understanding the manufacturing and automotive aftermarket processes need in terms of diagnostics to develop and improve diagnostic deliverables.
Communicate with Aftermarket Project Managers to collect information about Start Cost Projects and Maintenance projects, Argus, QJ and confirm the DE team’s tasks and Deliverables.
Review the project descriptions, design change with 3D data, drawings from Diagnostic engineering point of view and provide feedback to the project team.
Study and prepare a Diagnostic special tool and equipment that meets target of Aftermarket process and concepts.
Verify and validate the special tools, to update the information in the Diagnostic fault tracing procedure.
Set project delivery timelines as per Gate Criteria (project stages) and set team targets to ensure that all deliveries are completed on time.
Reporting to Manager, leaders on need basis.
