Molex is seeking a Product Manager or Assistant Product Manager to support custom product development and business growth for strategic customers. In this role, you will connect customer needs with cross-functional execution, helping shape viable projects and deliver value across the product lifecycle.
Our Team
You will join the High Value Custom team within CCS-PSBU Product Management. The team currently includes two members in the Minatomirai office and one member in Singapore, and works closely with Sales, Project Management, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Legal.
What You Will Do
- Lead, or support the lead, for custom new product development projects for specific customers.
- Partner with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze new opportunities, structure projects, and manage execution.
- Coordinate stakeholder responses to increases in demand from key customers.
- Manage pricing, product information, and fixed assets such as molds and equipment for existing custom products.
- Use the Fusion system during new product development and related product management processes.
- Develop and propose custom product solutions for new customers, with a primary focus on the semiconductor and robotics industries.
- For an Assistant Product Manager appointment, provide operational and analytical support to the Product Manager.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience supporting or managing product development projects using a product development process such as PDP.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple functions or stakeholder groups.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese at a native level.
- Ability to communicate in English through business writing and conversation; native-level fluency is not required.
- Ability to use standard PC tools, internal business systems, and Fusion-related software.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience working with customers or products in the semiconductor or robotics industries.
- Experience leading custom product development or commercialization projects.
- Proficiency in an additional language beyond Japanese and English.
