Upon appointment, the successful candidate will be affiliated with the “Advanced
Physics Collaborative Research Group (Astrophysics Laboratory), Division of
Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Institute of Science and Engineering”, as well as
the “Advanced Research Center for Space Science and Technology, Institute of Science
and Engineering”. The appointee will be expected to engage in research and education
in the center’s strategically prioritized field of Space and Particle Science (Astrophysics
Laboratory).
Proven experience in the development of astronomical satellites and space-borne
instruments is required. The appointee will be expected to promote and advance
satellite projects in collaboration with the “Advanced Research Center for Science and
Technology” and the “Diamond Research Center”.

5. Employment status:
A full-time associate professor (tenured)
6. Compensation:
Annual salary system is applied.
7. Qualification requirements:
(1) A researcher who holds a Ph.D. degree at the time of appointment.
(2) Demonstrated experience in the development of semiconductor imaging detectors for
space-borne applications.
(3) Experience in satellite projects.
(4) It is desirable for candidates to possess sufficient communication skills in both
Japanese and English
8. Start of employment:
The appointee is expected to assume duties on April 1, 2027, or as soon as possible
thereafter.
