Rubber Molding Process Expertise
- Serve as the subject matter expert for rubber molding processes, tooling, and manufacturing technologies utilized in the production of Kalrez® products.
- Provide technical leadership to Contract Manufacturing partners on molding process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and process control.
- Drive improvements in molding cycle time, yield, scrap reduction, process capability, and product consistency.
- Support new product introductions, process transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
- Analyze molding process data and identify opportunities to improve process robustness and repeatability.
- Lead investigations into molding-related defects and develop sustainable corrective actions.
Strengthen Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rubber manufacturing, elastomer processing, rubber molding, or polymer manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in compression molding, transfer molding, injection molding, or other rubber molding technologies.
- Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process capability, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working directly with manufacturing suppliers or Contract Manufacturing organizations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FFKM, FKM, fluoroelastomers, specialty elastomers, or other high-performance polymer materials.
- Experience supporting global contract manufacturers.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with tooling design, mold qualification, and validation activities.
- Knowledge of DOE, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation methodologies.
- Experience in highly regulated or high-performance manufacturing industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, medical, or specialty chemicals.
