Program Director Vendor Consolidation & Transformation
Role Purpose:
Lead large-scale vendor consolidation and transformation programs to drive sustained year-on-year cost reduction. Own end-to-end delivery across onsite–offshore models, while partnering with customers to define and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transformation & Cost Optimization
Define and execute vendor consolidation and transformation strategy aligned to business goals
Deliver measurable YoY cost savings through offshore optimization, automation, and productivity improvements
Govern transformation roadmap with clear milestones, benefits tracking, and financial accountability
Ensure service continuity, compliance, and risk mitigation
2. Customer Engagement
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current services, costs, and pain points
Lead early-stage program setup including data analysis and baseline creation
Develop cost optimization proposals and business cases for executive alignment
3. Delivery Leadership (Onsite–Offshore)
Design and scale efficient onsite–offshore delivery models
Own end-to-end service delivery across vendors and internal teams
Drive smooth knowledge transitions and continuous productivity improvements
4. SLA & Vendor Governance
Establish strong SLA-driven governance across vendors
Track KPIs, SLAs, and financial metrics through structured dashboards
Lead issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and vendor performance management
Support contract consolidation and negotiations with procurement/legal
5. People Leadership
Build and lead high-performing, cross-cultural teams
Define roles, skills, and capacity aligned to transformation goals
Foster a performance-driven culture with clear accountability and growth
Success Metrics:
Sustained year-on-year cost reduction
Improved SLA performance and service stability
Streamlined vendor ecosystem with clear ownership
Optimized delivery model with enhanced productivity
High customer satisfaction and executive trust
Experience & Qualifications
• 20+ years of experience in IT service delivery, large-scale transformation, or program leadership roles.
• Proven track record in vendor consolidation, outsourcing, and cost optimization programs.
• Strong experience with SLA-based managed services and global delivery models.
• Experience working in complex enterprise or regulated environments is preferred.
Core Skills & Competencies
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Strong Bilingual (English and Japanese) communication
• Insurance domain knowledge is a plus
• Excellent customer and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of IT operations, service management, and sourcing models.
• Program governance, risk management, and benefit realization expertise.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and change management capabilities.
