- Drive sourcing strategy and execution by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing the most valuable sourcing channels, suppliers, markets, and products.
- Build strong product and pricing expertise by studying our product database, pricing framework, and commercial standards.
- Develop product compliance and authentication expertise through structured training on quality, condition, and brand-specific standards.
- Monitor market trends, resale pricing, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform purchasing decisions.
- Conduct supplier visits and field sourcing activities to assess inventory, build relationships, negotiate opportunities, and develop new sourcing channels.
- Participate in domestic and international auctions, including sh*tami (下見) and other pre-auction inspection activities, to identify and secure high-value inventory.
- Execute marketplace sourcing and bidding activities across domestic and international platforms, balancing product potential, market demand, pricing, and profitability.
- Expand and diversify the company's sourcing network by identifying new suppliers, markets, auction houses, and business opportunities.
- Authenticate and evaluate a wide range of luxury products, including handbags, accessories, clothing, and other high-value items.
- Build and maintain strategic business relationships with suppliers, auction houses, local companies, and other sourcing partners to strengthen long-term purchasing opportunities.
- Provide data-backed sourcing recommendations and communicate market insights, purchasing opportunities, and risks to support management decision-making.
- Optimize purchasing performance by evaluating sourcing results, pricing, sell-through potential, margins, and inventory needs.
- Support continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools, databases, and purchasing standards as the business grows.
- Perform physically active sourcing duties, including standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and sitting while reviewing and handling products at suppliers, auctions, stores, warehouses, and other locations. Physical mobility and stamina are therefore required.

After probation, travel is regular and frequent (domestic and international), up to 30–40% of your time.
All travel expenses outside the Greater Tokyo Area —Shinkansen, flights, hotels and meals — are covered by the company.
Full transportation is also covered when working in office.
