Tenure Track (TT) Associate Professor (Female)

3. Field of specification:
Electronic information and mechanical engineering, focusing on robotics, measurement and control, and machine
learning.
Candidates should conduct advanced and pioneering research and education in the field. Upon appointment, the
successful candidate will join the Electronic Information and Mechanical Engineering research group and cooperate
with professors in the group.
4. Education:
1) School of Frontier Engineering, College of Science and Engineering, Kanazawa University
2) Division of Frontier Engineering, Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Kanazawa University
5. Subject responsible for:
1) Undergraduate course: Lectures, exercises, and research guidance related to Electronic Information and
Mechanical Engineering, and General Education.
2) Graduate course: Subjects related to Field of Specification.
6. Employment status:
A full-time tenue track associate professor (non-tenured, 5-year term)
Based on the results of an internal review by Kanazawa University concerning research and educational
achievements, the promotion to tenure professorship or the appointment of tenure associate professor is
possible. If the extension of the tenure track period (up to 3 years) is approved by the internal review, the
review will be conducted in the final year of the extended period.

(1) Research achievement in the concerned field is outstanding in both domestic and international
research communities.
(2) Appropriately planned research is sufficiently achieved.
(3) Sufficient competitive research funding is obtained.
(4) Educational achievement for students (research guidance and lecture) is outstanding.
7. Treatment:
The expected financial support is approximately 800,000 JPY in the first year.
8. Compensation:
Annual salary system is applied.
9. Qualification requirements:
1) The candidate should be a female researcher who holds a doctoral degree.
2) The candidate should have enthusiasm for education and research.
3) The candidate should take a progressive approach to collaboration with industries and universities.
4) It is desirable for the candidate to possess sufficient communication skills in both English and Japanese.
