Job Description:
As a MacBook Processing Operator, you will be responsible for processing MacBook devices through various stages of inspection, testing, cleaning, software updates, labeling, packing, and finished goods preparation. This role is based onsite at our Japan facility and requires strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to accurately follow work instructions and quality standards in English.
You will use internal systems to verify product information, update device status, record accessories, and ensure each MacBook is processed accurately and efficiently. This role plays an important part in maintaining product quality, meeting production goals, and ensuring devices are prepared according to company, customer, safety, 5S, and ESD requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately process MacBook devices in the computer system, including product verification, data entry, and status updates.
- Inspect, clean, label, and prepare MacBook devices and related accessories for finished goods.
- Diagnose, update, and perform final testing on MacBook devices in accordance with applicable work instructions, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Record accessories received and ensure all product information is accurate and complete.
- Pack prepared MacBook devices according to quality and shipping requirements.
- Report damaged shipments, device issues, missing accessories, or process deviations to the immediate supervisor.
- Support the receiving, movement, and distribution of incoming and outgoing products.
- Follow directions from the direct supervisor and complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Meet established objectives related to lead time, quality, productivity, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow ESD guidelines and wear required Electrostatic Discharge protection when handling electronic devices.
- Communicate relevant updates, issues, or concerns to the immediate supervisor.
- Take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and consistency of work performed.
- Perform other related duties that may reasonably be required as part of the role.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills required, including the ability to understand written and verbal work instructions.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and internal computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working hands-on with MacBook devices and other electronic products.
- Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed, in accordance with local labor requirements.
- Ability to meet productivity, quality, and lead time expectations in a production environment.
